My first cart.

I finally finished my first gun cart. Made from a Baby Trend jogging stroller. Thanks to everyone here who has provided ideas and pictures in other posts. I might add a wooden tray to the lower cup holder section that swings up and allows easy access to the lower basket section. Any other suggestions for tweaks or modifications are welcomed.

It looks good.  Looks heavy with all that wood, but if it maneuvers okay then that's fine.  I might suggest a bicycle flag pole with your choice of flag at the top.  Yours looks a little different from the Rugged Gear carts but still, in a sea of carts it can make it easier to find. :)

It's not too heavy, I can pick it up with one hand if I grab it in the right place. I just used generic "white wood" from Lowes for most of it which is pretty light.

The flag pole is a good idea. I've also thought about figuring out how to mount a shade umbrella.

Good job on your first cart. I would caution leaving an umbrella up on your cart if you’re not right there with it. I’ve seen quite a few carts with the umbrella up get blown over and guns and ammo scattered on the ground.

Good thinking, thank you!
I would love to be able to make one like yours but I need a lot more carpentry experience before I attempt it.

Ya gotta start somewhere and you did a good job on your first build. You’ll be very proud of it when you take it to matches, but be warned if the gun cart building bug bites you you’re in for a ride. I’m working on number 88 right now. One thing you’ll find is you’ll be thinking of the things you’d change or do different and just have to build another one and then it starts.

Nicely done. Don't forget to add a place for a large garbage bag to use as a cover if it starts to rain.

Good thinking. The stroller came with a vinyl cover that should still fit, It just might stick up a little where the barrels are.

i just started building my second , ive needed it a couple times for friends i drug along with me , both are built on golf bag [bag boy] chassis but this one is different from the first , this one is much lighter ,

the first was built on a metal cart and was set up to serve two shooters , it fold nice and compact but its got a bit of weight with everything i added over the years - some creature comforts that could be left behind but the older i get the less i want to do without yet dont want to abandon my minimalist approach either ,

the second is built on a plastic composite frame and starts out at about half the weight , its set up for one shooter and ive added vey little to it so far , just the umbrella i wanted and it has a built in water bottle that was part of the original design for golf , its been to three shoots without me using it , im taking it to PITV next week to give it my first run , we shall see , no frills or added baggage - just guns and ammo , tools of the posse and umbrella , im leaving all the cleaning kit in the old cart for now , ill have it in camp when needed ,

looking forward to seeing those that are coming there --- as always be in the twinky mobile , but wife is still the twins fan
