The serrations generally give a better bite on your thumb. The best way to get them is to call Ruger and/or go to Midway, Brownells, etc. websites and put you name on their notify lists. I just searched completed eBay auctions for "Super Blackhawk Hammer" and found a couple Montado hammers for $99.99, but not eight auctions from last night where they sold for $40. Waco Jim Posted May 25 Share Posted May 25 I just had a pair of SASS Rugers short stroked and the Montado hammers were swapped out with Super Blackhawk hammers. The Rugers are on the way back to me along with the Montado hammers. I should heve them late next week. These hammers came off a pair of brand new Vaqueros and I will be selling them for $200 for the pair, shipped. PM me if you are interested.
