The breathing ain’t so bad. It hurts some, but you adjust to it.  A cough, a sneeze, or hiccups can make you cry like a little schoolgirl!!

Any jarring movement can be really painful!

That one rib looks more displaced than the others.  Is it going to require surgery??

Seeing the doc tomorrow morning to check on what he reckons.

Ouch ... ribs ... war story omitted, yours is both more spectacular and more painful than mine!

+10 on that sneeze, cough or jarring misstep bringing salt water to the eyes, yep, my hand is a-wavin' in the air ... TESTIFY!

Still standing up on my knees for your healing!

As far as your Motor Sickle, you could take everything I know about them and stuff that knowledge down in a sewing thimble, tamp it good and have room enough to pour in a quart of whiskey atop it!

Well saw the doc and got the scan reports, I actually have FOUR broken ribs 4,5,6,7

First scan didn't pick it up.

And no shooting either for a while, so I'll just browse around looking for a nice tourer. :D

My wife is a now-retired radiographer of better than 35 years' experience.

I read your report aloud about 4, 5, 6 and 7 and she nodded wisely.

She said scans are not ideal for rib fractures, as it's a helical exam, but it is excellent for picking up a bleed -- the scan is a very useful tool in your situation, had a rib punctured a lung the scan would've picked up easily.

She added that gallstones are easily missed on a radiograph unless they're "of some size" and I don't know why she added that ... you ain't havin' pains up under your right ribs now are you?

(My wife is psychotic, y'see ... I mean psychic ... no, honey, you don't need to look at what I'm writin' OUCH!)

Yep, no punctures at all, and I can still deep breath without any pain now, pains have subsided substantinally, only come on if all of a sudden I think I'm superman and do stuff I shouldn't be doing and it comes back and gives me a kick. :D

I am Pickled Tink with your report of no punctures and healing is progressing and especially the part about being able to take a deep breath!
