Mister Badly
I'm thinking I might load up some 357 cases I recently acquired to the bottom of the bullet with APP and use them in this match. Should be smokey enough I guess.

Dogmeat Dad, SASS #48563L
In just eleven day, on the 17th, Holli and I will hit the road for Kentucky. According to Google Maps, it 542 miles and about 8 1/2 hours (plus stops) from home to the range so, if we can get an early start, we should be at the range in time to get registered and offload the cart, which will make the rest of the trip much easier. Although all the parts have all finally come in for the repair, the truck is still not back from the shop, so it looks like we may be once again making the trip in the Prius. That will make four BIG matches in a row in that LITTLE car this year, DE State, PA State, VA BP State, and now KY State. It's a very tight fit to get everything in there, especially when we use the big cart, but we sort of have a packing system that seems to work. As long as we don't hit the weight limit with ammo that is!

That’s when I usually leave to go to Ponderosa Pines, so we’ll likely wait until Tuesday morning to get going. I aim to leave before daybreak so I can be there before lunch. OH YEAH!! If nothing else changes, Schoolmarm will be back to the party this year!!

I’m cutting down on the sweets for a few days! Got my A1c down below 6% on my last checkup, so I’m cutting back this week to make up for next week!! Told all my doctors that I was jumping the reservation for a week or so!!

I expect we’ll have friends showing up just about any day now. We still have openings and camp sites. So come on and let’s have Fiesta!!! Rumor has it Cat has a new slush machine to help cool you down a little bit after a day shooting!

Mister Badly
Might have to tie a rope to it and lasso Joe's cart as he passes going up the hill. Or charge a quarter to people to push it for me. The breeze is worth it.
Tn Tombstone
If the breeze blew up that holler it might push itself up the hill, however, since the wind blows down the holler maybe it will push itself home.

Blackwater 53393
Got’s me a new walkin’ boot, (it’s gonna take some real getting used to) just for this match!! My new permanent footwear is still in the works, so my foot doc put me in this new contraption ‘til the new stuff gets here. Got me a new butt wrap and recoil pad installed on the ol’ ten gauge. Started packing last night for a Tuesday morning departure. ANTICIPATION!!!

Cat A Tonic
Last shooter list update! I had to combine a few categories, which only affected a few shooters. Dualist/SD and SGF/SSGF. Hopefully everyone is content with where they're at...if they know what's best for them!!! Dogmeat Dad, SASS #48563L
We start gathering our stuff together this evening. Packing the Prius (An adventure in it's own right ) on Tuesday for an early departure on Wednesday. It's approximately 540 miles, and 8 1/2 half hours from our home to the range so, with stops and a little buffer for getting lost in the wilds of Kentucky, I'm figuring on 10 1/2 hours. if we can hit the road at 7:00am we should be there in time to get registered before they close the window. Be nice to get the cart out of the car and stashed somewhere before we get to the hotel. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Lol Last month at Thunder Valley Days, the MD State Match, Holli's rifle broke (Loading Gate on a '66) and she had to borrow a rifle. Since only the crazy folks are willing to let a BP shooter put BP rounds down their rifle, she had to borrow some smokeless ammo to finish the last 2 stages of the match. We just had her Category changed to LD from LFCD so as to not violate the rules. After her first round down range, her head popped up off the rifle stock and she looked around to see what had happened. She was unaccustomed to being able to see the targets and figured the rifle must have had a squib. It probably took her 5 seconds to get back on track!
