I've handled several but not shot one. Very nice offering from Ruger/Marlin.

If I didn't have my trusty Big 5 Marlin 1894 .44 mag that I got for under $400 when I first joined SASS, I'd buy one!

 

They've been out for awhile and all reports have been good. Now the 336 is out and that one I'm tempted to buy.

Any chance you shot 44 Specials?

 

My JM 1894 does not like 44 Specials at all. Curious whether the new ones do.

Just my .44 mag cased cowboy loads, ran fine.

My JM 1981 made '94, loves Specials and mags. Bought it new in 1982.

Have no issues with SWC style bullets either.

Widder taught me about 'carrier timing'.
