EL LOBO TEJANO
So what is your specific reloads for .38 spcl for s.a.s.s. Shooting? Be as specific as possible.38 bullet weight and grains of powder. I’d like to reload these at the specs and lower recoil is the S.A.S.S. Standards so I’m within the rules!!!

Sixgun Seamus
When we used to shoot those toy bullets (real calibers start with 4), I loaded 3.2 gr Red Dot behind a 125 gr bullet. A cowboy friend went as low as 2.5 Red Dot that I tried for a while but it scared me. I put more pepper on my eggs in the morning than there was powder in that cartridge. The abbreviation “g” means “grams”, a very different unit of measurement. Correct your post if it is wrong.
Rye Miles #13621
125 gr bullet on top of 3.5 grs of TiteGroup for rifle and pistol. HP 38 works well also.

Sinagua Ranger
I don’t know about OP, but I am trying to move over from USPSA, and finding it difficult to adjust to SASS loads. I have VV N320 and VV310 in abundance. It looks like a buddy has some Clays, but everything else that’s recommended seems out of stock and/or discontinued. Edward R S Canby, SASS#59971
My wife shoots N320. It’s a great powder. Bullseye is still available. It’s not my favorite powder, but the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook has plenty of load data for 38 Special, even for 105 grain bullets.
Hoss
I shoot 105 grn bullets in pistols, 125 grn in rifles. Both with 3.0 Bullseye. and yes. I put more pepper on my grits, but this load works well for me.

I use Ramshot Competition right now but I could just as easily use any number of powders that are on the fast burning side of the list. 2.7-3 grains of any of them does the job.
