My wife and I had one as a pet.

"Fleur" as she was called had been de-scented by a neighbour, who was a vet.

Fleur's mother and her siblings had been killed by a car or died after the mother was killed.

We used to walk her on a leash in our neghbourhood.

She was a real cuddler.

Had a frat brother who had a skunk as a pet.  Cute, but he stole anything shiny.....cuff links, pens, change, glasses, car keys, cigarette lighters, frat pins, tableware, class rings, you name it.  Most of it turned up under a cast iron footed bath tub on the third floor or behind the piano in the first floor living room.  

 

Some it was never found.

Had difficulty deciding whether to put this in cats or cute.

 

Guy on another board. Said his cat died. Wasn't going to get another cat because he had a bird. But then he was on Facebook and saw an ad - fosters needed for bottle fed kittens. He goes over and the lady says they got 3 four week old and 2 two week old, and he said yes. She says all five? And he says yes.

 

He said that one of the two weeks did not like the bottle, so he was going to have to get back in touch with the shelter about that one. Said that one of the four weeks was apparently going to be a shoulder cat, because if you held it it would climb up your arm and sit on your shoulder like a parrot.

 

As usual with a thread like that, somebody said that the thread was useless without pictures. I started to post this in the cat thread.

Then I saw this one. I assume the one cat just wanted to see what he had in his hand, but the two little kittens in the background and the giant cat head in the front just screamed cuteness.

That's sort of cute. But if Little Billy was riding his pedal tractor, which was hitched up to a wagon load of hay - now that would have been cute.

For reasons known only to herself, a co-worker from another dept brought her descented pet skunk to work with her.  I skunksat while she went to lunch.  The l'il guy chewed on my earring for a while then went to sleep on my shoulder.
