At times I just love people

I was over at YouTube watching a Steve compilation. This is the one where he's talking about the emu wars and God makes the comment about the murder chicken.

In the comments someone says that there have only been two people actually killed by emus. >One was in 1926 where this kid and his brother had trapped the name youEMU in a fenced yard and were beating it with a stick. You can't blame it for defending itself, right? The other was an old man in Florida. THESE BIRDS ARE NOT PETS.

All other attacks were either defending their chicks or fighting off the idiots that were trying to take selfies with the murder chickens.

But no one has been killed in Australia since 1926.<

Really? No one has been killed in Australia for almost 100 years?

I realize he meant no one has been killed by emus in Australia since 1926, but that's not what he said.

In case you couldn't figure it out, Steve is the angel that was assigned to design animals. Sometimes God doesn't approve of his choices.

There is this thing known as "context." In a discussion about murder chickens and deaths caused by them one would expect that only deaths caused by murder chickens would be mentioned so there would be no need to constantly repeat "death by murder chickens" unless, of course, one was to compare death by murder chickens to death by murder kitty or other means of death, but after that, the main subject still being death by murder chicken, it still wouldn't be necessary to write "murder chickens" every time as that is the understood subject.

What is "name youEMU ?"

When otto changes what I say, and I go back and edit, I used to strike through his attempts and correct it.

Then the website was updated and you could no longer strike through with an Android phone. Computers yes. Apple phones, maybe, I don't know. But you can't do it with Android.

So I have got into the habit of going right up next to his oops and putting what I actually said in uppercase.

I said emu, otto wrote name you, and I did my correction.

I know it probably confuses some people but I feel better.

Burning help otto korrik!!!

Neither am I, it’s been an awfully mild winter.

Historically, El Niño has meant a mild winter for New England.

but we are due for a blizzard….
