Alpo Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 I was just down at the site that knows, with absolute certainty, what gun was used in every motion picture since the beginning of time. Ask them. They'll tell you. They'll tell you they know. Anyway. 48 Hrs. That took me the longest time to find, by the way, because the damn title abbreviates hours. I was checking to see if my memory was correct and Nick Nolte used a Model 29 Smith 44 Magnum. I was and he did. But then I see another gun was mentioned. A Colt New Frontier with fixed sights. A what? My understanding has always been the difference between a Single Action Army and a New Frontier is that a New Frontier has adjustable sights. That's it. Otherwise it's the same gun. So if it's got fixed sights, wouldn't that make it be a Single Action Army? Then I look at their picture. What does that look more like to you? A New Frontier that has had the rear sight broken off? Or a Single Action Army that has had a ramp front sight put on? Quote
Stump Water Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 I don't know what it it, but I don't think it's either of those. Quote
Crooked River Pete, SASS 43485 Posted January 19, 2024 Posted January 19, 2024 Movie prop gun, probably a SAA with a New Frontier barrel. Don't have to work, just has to look like a gun. Quote
