Calamity Kris
If you were even a casual radio listener in the greater LA area during the last 30 - 40 years, you heard Jim's voice coming out of your speakers. Rest in peace, Mr. Ladd. We will greatly miss "The Lonesome LA Cowboy". His knowledge of the rock music scene, music history and the the names that made great rock and roll was unparalleled. https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/music/story/2023-12-18/jim-ladd-dj-los-angeles-rock-radio-klos-kmet-sirius-xm-dies
Pat Riot
Jim Ladd. Now there was s a name I haven’t heard in a while. I remember listening to his weekend shows and sometimes his later shows during the week. He used to be on KMET then when they were sold to a group that had the station playing some kind of new age jazz he moved to KLOS. I called his show a few times to request songs. He often answered the phone if he had a long set playing. He was always a very nice guy. Rest in Peace, Mr. Ladd.
