Pat Riot Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 I have to admit that I actually did this one day when looking at a picture of a revolver in a magazine.
J-BAR #18287 Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 I have taken a photo of a photo just so I could manipulate it like that!!
Warden Callaway Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 I take pictures on the minuscule text on bottles so I can blow it up and read it.

I do the same. I also take selfies when trying on new eyeglass frames so I can see how I look. I do this with hats too. Smart phones truly are handy devices.

ShadowCatcher Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Also handy for copying the business name and phone number off a store door or sign while walking past it. Or a business advertized on the side of a van or truck. SC
Three Foot Johnson Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 On video calls with my 4 year old granddaughter, I'm constantly turning my phone left or right to see what she's doing...

Facetime with our grandson frequently ends in nausea or a completely black screen. depending on how he handles the camera!

Warden Callaway Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 I take pictures of my prescription pills so I can read the number/letters so to properly identify them.
watab kid Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 i cant even get that to work well on my phone yet ,
Matthew Duncan Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 High school kid looked bored as I told him to DRAW a picture of the device showing what color wire went where before replacing the device. That’s how my dad taught me and it saved by bacon several times. High school kid waited until I was done explaining before to whipped out his cell phone to say, “Why not just take a picture of it?”

Warden Callaway Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 I've also taken pictures of markings on guns to better make them out.

FaceTiming with grandkids is why the internet was invented.
Pat Riot Posted December 16, 2023 Author Posted December 16, 2023 I do many of the same as all of you. Sometimes when I am in a gun store I will use my camera to magnify price tags on guns in the racks behind the counter. I do screenshots to save reload recipes from Hodgdon and Alliance. I also screenshot and save trajectory tables and general reloading info. For example, here’s a SAAMI Max Pressure table put together by the LA Silhouette Shooters Club
