Philly Restaurant re-opens with heavy security and ARs

Recommended Posts

Yeah I noticed the "machine gun". But I was more interested in the "agents".

They're not guards, they're agents. I noticed it said that one of them was a presidential protection agent. Wow they got the secret service guarding a sandwich shop.

There’s a part of me that says that it’s just a positive sign that people are talking their security and the security of their customers seriously!

I have often asked the manager of a restaurant that prohibits the customer from carrying their own personal protection if they are willing to provide armed protection for me while I frequent their establishment. I often do this before I leave their establishment for some more welcoming eatery!

Another part of me realizes that this is a gimmick to get publicly!  I won’t call it free because they’re paying the “agents”, but it probably costs less than the price of a legitimate commercial!

Then there’s the part of me that says that they could just put up signs that make it plain that those who are legally armed are welcome and encouraged to come and bring their weapons and their friends!!

Just shows the local politicians and cops can't deal with crime and community safety.

They CAN , they just won't. They want the sheeple so scared that they're begging the government for help. As in SOMETHING to keep the Bad Guys at bay.

They're trying to prevent themselves from being sued, so they put up the no guns signs to CYA

I'm sure you know what a PSD is. And quite possibly there are other people here that know what a PSD is. But I don't have a clue so how about explaining your abbreviations.

I am well aware of that, but in the event that I was injured or robbed or even accosted by someone in that environment, I would vigorously seek restitution and damages from both the restaurant and any franchising company that reqired me to relinquish my personal means of protection.  If it happens in a hospital or a government facility or anywhere else, you can bet that I will seek recompense!

If they refuse to allow me to protect myself, then I hold them personally, jointly and severally responsible for my safety!!

AHHHHH......... the city of Love.    I feel like a chorus of Cum-bi-ya.

That agent don't even warrant a ball cap.   Folks see his rifle from the front but have to look

on his back side to see his "agent" status.

..........Widder

Thank you sir.

I had found this site full of explaining what PSD meant

https://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/PSD

A couple of them even had to do with Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania School District, like that. But I didn't see any of them that seem to fit with your sentence.

I used to donate to Mayo Clinic several times a year. The last couple of requests for money...I have written on them that due to some of their new "security" policies, that I can no longer donate to them. They now have metal detectors at the entrances and UN armed guards. No knives or firearms...or other types of weapons allowed.

Good luck if it happens and I hope it doesn't.  I'm not sure why, but I'm not optimistic in such a lawsuit succeeding.

I’m doubtful of anything ever coming out of such an action myself, particularly in a confrontation with a government entity.

I do, however, take satisfaction in making it crystal clear that I am not in agreement with these infringements on my freedom.

The likelihood is greatly diminished by the fact that I refuse to go to these places except when forced to!
