Widder, SASS #59054
I lucked into a small 'estate' sale and managed to get some older pistols that are all in new condition. And 2 of my friends are already wanting to buy them, but I have no idea as to their real value. And when I say 'new', I actually mean that these pistols have no rust nor handling marks and I was told they were 'unfired'...... of which they truly appear to be unfired. Do you know the approx value on these: 1. Colt Combat Commander, series 70, blue, 9mm, (in original box.) 2. High Standard 'Trophy', 5+ inch barrel, .22 LR. (in original box) 3. High Standard 'Sport King', 6+ inch barrel, .22 LR. (in original box) 4. Colt 'Huntsman', 4 inch barrel .22 LR. (in original box) 5. Colt Match Target, 6+ inch barrel, .22 LR. (this pistol has a high polish finish). NO BOX. From my examination, pretty sure all these pistol would rate at 99% or maybe even 100%. Thanks for any info you might know. ..........Widder
Texas Joker
Go to reputable auction site. Look at completed auctions for your guns. That's market right now. Take guns to local gun shop and ask for an appraisal
J-BAR #18287
Check your library, some have a copy of Fjested's Blue Book in the reference section. Or you might sneak a peek at a Barnes and Noble bookstore.

Personally I find the market too fluid to rely on Blue Book or other printed referencea
Colorado Coffinmaker
Part of the eventual answer lies in when the guns were originally sold. Regardless of condition, they are now "second hand" or "used." However, depending on just "how old" they are, they may well be worth the original MSRP or More. Don't be afraid to hold out for "Fair Market Value."

If you want to entertain offers, that's your choice. I would hang on to those fine firearms until I was offered a price I could not refuse. Enjoy 'em while you can!
