The Road to Burning Man

Recommended Posts

Okay, so I'll confess to finding a bit of pleasure in this.

The protesters were seen holding signs with messages including "Ban Private Jets" and "Abolish Capitilasim."  They stood in the road with those signs in front off their barricade, blocking people from driving to the festival with a miles-long back-up of vehicles.

Mind you, I couldn't give a hang less about Burning Man... but when the lefty enviro-wackos decided to block the road in, local Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Police officers / Rangers decided they'd had enough:  ^_^

Quote

In the viral video of the incident, a police truck can be seen crashing through the blockade as police jump out of the vehicle to arrest the climate activists — who appear stunned at the forceful response to their antics.

“We have no weapons at all!” wailed one female protester as she held her hands up. “We’re environmental protesters!”

The activism group “Climate Defiance” shared the video to X, formerly known as Twitter. While their caption showed that they expected support, their comments section was filled with support for the officers.

None of them lived in the area where they were protesting. Two had traveled from New York, one from California, one from Washington and one from the country of Malta.

Simple solution: got them on video breaking the law, jail them down by State Llne where O. J. "The Juice" Simpson was jailed.

Best law enforcement video of the day!!!!!!  Hope none of the Rangers get in any kind of trouble for what they did.  Oh yeah, it was on Indian reservation land so everything should be good!!!!

That is how all police should handle traffic blocking protests.  There are laws about what you can do on your private property because "what if first responders" what about first responders being stopped because of blocked traffic?

More details and longer video here:

And, of course, there are protests about "police brutality," and the officer drawing his weapon and threatening "peaceful, unarmed protesters."  Also mentions that it's unclear whether he drew a pistol or taser.

Bet the protesters were thinking they could get by with it.  I'd like to know what charges and punishment they got.   De-port them to some third world country and let them pick through the garbage bump for their food.

Screw ‘em! I am pretty sure that impeding someone from going to where they want to go is a crime in most states. Granted this is on a Reservation. Perhaps they have similar laws.

I do believe these morons should get what they probably never got as children. I nice a** whipping.

I think that's what they just got.

About time some Indians got to stick it to some dumb ass, left wingnut, liberal, Democrat, socialist, environmentalists, who have no right to screw with people on reservation land.  This is how the rest of the country should work.

I researched news of the incident.   It sure looked like the reports were bias toward the protesters.  Obviously putting the rangers in bad light and giving a list of talking points of the protesters.

Having lived in Fernley NV., for those who don't know is just south of that reservation, and the last civilization before burning man. I think it is absolutely hilarious that those res Leo's destroyed that crap. I don't much care for the burners either, when they leave burning man there garbage is literally everywhere. They over fill dumpster, clog up the 2 car washes in Fernley so bad plumbers have to fix.

So the environmental whackos didn’t care about the miles of cars and trucks idling and burning gas? Pretty hypocritical of them!

In the video someone said they're with Freedom News, they posted a 16 minute video.   The clip below is qued to show the Rangers giving the protesters warning.

There were a couple of other sites that showed expanded coverage of the warnings... not surprisingly omitted from the "mainstream news."   <_<

I noticed some long chains in that video. Did the protesters chain themselves to something, or were the cops handcuffing them to the chain to make them easier to control?

Protesters chained themselves to the trailer and flip out barricade.  One protester can be heard yelling at the others to "lock in" before the people from traffic move the barricade.

Yup. I have a number of Burner friends and have it on my bucket list, but this year is a wipeout of epic proportions.  They’re getting to practice the “radical self reliance” part of their values.

Drive them 20 miles out into the desert, strip them, leave them.
