I’m going to hijack the thread here for a minute.

 

Most music fans are not aware of the versatility of the Wilson sisters. Anne is not only what I consider the absolute greatest female vocalist in rock and roll music and maybe in ALL of music, but she is also a really great floutist. I pulled up some video while looking for Nancy’s acoustic instrumental posted above that featured Annie on flute and it was spectacular.

 

Heart was preparing for an extended tour, years ago, when the male lead guitarist abruptly decided that he would leave the band. They’d rehearsed and built the show and there was no time to work in a new band member, (Trust me! That’s one of those things that takes time and effort!) so Nancy did the entire tour as lead guitarist!  For those who attended those shows, all doubt of her skill and talent were obliterated!

 

Now! Here’s the video of Heart, live, with Anne on flute and with Nancy doing her thing across several songs on both acoustic and electric guitar!

 

 

This is not the tour where Nancy played all the lead parts, but she demonstrates her skill playing head to head with the other guitar player with perfect precision.
