Eyesa Horg Posted April 21 Posted April 21 Ellie and I got to socialize twice with Bonnie at a now gone club in Willimantic, Ct. A coworker of Ellie's knew her. The club, The Shaboo Inn had some great shows, but was certainly a fire trap. It was very old wooden mill. It was pretty cool to be within a couple feet of the performers. Pure Prairie League was probably the cause of my hearing loss!🤣 Unfortunately a rookie fireman torched it so he could go to a big fire. 😡 19 year old if I remember right. Quote
Rye Miles #13621 Posted April 21 Posted April 21 (edited) Love this gal, she’s an excellent pianist as well. I saw her in person a few years ago. She had a great band with her too! She does a lot of jazz tunes which I like but I thought this was cool for the Saloon!🤠 Edited April 21 by Rye Miles #13621 Quote

Rye Miles #13621 Posted April 21 Posted April 21 (edited) I played drums on this tune with a local jazz group on a Cleveland tv station 30 years ago. The tune is entitled “Well you needn’t “ The trumpet player was a big fan of Miles so he picked this tune. 🎵 We slowed it down some, this is really cookin! I’ve got it on VHS 😂😂😂 Edited April 21 by Rye Miles #13621 1 1 Quote

Blackwater 53393 Posted April 22 Posted April 22 I took an early ride on my stationary bike this morning. I wear headphones and play stuff from my extensive music library. This one came on at random and I found myself doing double time! 1 1 Quote

Blackwater 53393 Posted April 27 Posted April 27 To mark the passing of Dave Mason, one of the most underrated guitarists in rock’n’ roll! This song became a monster hit for Delaney and Bonnie. They toured with both Dave and Eric Clapton as band members. This is one of Daves own live performances of a song that many don’t know that he wrote! 1 Quote
Blackwater 53393 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 (edited) I did my whole morning workout on the stationary bike to this one this morning! Lots of energy and plenty of tempo changes! Kick back with the headphones and enjoy some great instrumental moments. Some really tasty jazz in this one too! Edited April 28 by Blackwater 53393 1 Quote
Chantry Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I saw JLH live once, I was surprised and remain so, that such a relatively tiny man can have that voice. 1 Quote

Funny thing is that the manager used to go with us and, after a few beers, sang the song louder than any of the rest of us! 1 Quote
Blackwater 53393 Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Might be some of the best country music I ever heard! Quote
Blackwater 53393 Posted May 3 Posted May 3 This cut was recorded the day after the passing of Jimi Hendrix. The Layla album was “in the can” and the studio had wrapped up the session. The members of the band got back together and recorded this live, according to reports, on one mic in the middle of the room as a tribute. It was subsequently placed on the album. 2 Quote

Nothing more than a money grab from die hard Stones fans. Each to their own. Not bad for some 80+ musicians. It might not be their best, but's still better than 99% of the new crap on the radio and a lot of the older stuff where it is the same songs over and over, all day Quote
