John Kloehr Posted February 22 Posted February 22 It put me in a mood. I'm OK, but here is an hour of what I have been listening to this evening and remembering a good friend: 2 Quote

Blackwater 53393 Posted February 24 Posted February 24 (edited) This one was written by Barry Barnes, a high school friend of mine who played in Charlie’s original road band. As far as I know, it’s the only cut that doesn’t feature Charlie on vocals that they ever recorded! (This according to Charlie’s son from the official CDB website) *Barry and Charlie on twin guitars on the album. *Barry plays in my band from time to time and has traveled with us extensively on the frat house circuit! Cypress Sun Posted February 26 Posted February 26 (edited) ....like the fool that I am and I'll always be.... Six days after this was recorded, Jim Croce (age 30) would be killed in an airplane crash along with bandmate Maury Muehleisen and four others. Edited February 26 by Cypress Sun 1 1 Quote

That was the first major release that Croce performed that was not something he wrote! 1 Quote

Blackwater 53393 Posted March 3 Posted March 3 (edited) Here’s one you ain’t heard, by a friend of mine that I traveled and played music with! He’s the original act that started the infield shows on the NASCAR circuit and the son of Tom T. Hall. We went many a mile together and had a lot of fun! 🤣😜❤️ He also wrote songs for the Robert Redford movie “The Last Castle”. Edited March 3 by Blackwater 53393 1 Quote
