Smart * Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 I purchased an AWA .38spl lightning and found that it is not feeding properly and also jamming. I would like to tear it down but I am fearful of doing so without a schematic or disassembly manual. If any of you have either please let me know. Smart Asterisk SmartAsterisk@outlook.com Quote

Badlands Bob #61228 Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 I understand that Lassiter has had some success in getting those Lightnings to work. I also like the gun show idea. Quote
Bailey Creek,5759 Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 AWA are finicky about over all length. Maybe load a few longer or shorter than what you normally do. Quote
Preacherman Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 (edited) Yes, they are cartridge sensitive as to bullet style and length. Russell used to recommend 158 grain RN 38 sized .358. I know shooters that use these with good success. See the picture for the style. Call me and we can chat. Oh, these guns need to be clean to run right.
