Alpo
I recall a thread sometime back where we were discussing what was and was not a "snub nose". Many people seemed under the impression that only a revolver could be a snub nose. This is the cover art for a mystery novel. And it looks to me like a Webley automatic that somebody has taken a hacksaw to the barrel. Would that qualify as a snub-nosed automatic?
Pat Riot
I have never hear of a snub-nosed semiauto or automatic or I should say I have never heard a semiauto being called a snub-nose. I am not saying it’s wrong. I just have never heard of it. Personally, I would not use the term snub-nosed, snubbie, snub on a semiauto. I think the terms compact, subcompact and pocket pistol are more appropriate. DeaconKC
I kinda agree with @Pat Riot's take on it, but...then I start thinking of how some folks get up over calling revolvers pistols, even though they were originally called horse or belt pistols long before semi-auto pistols existed. I for one, will not worry about it either way, but will make for an interesting discussion.

First thing I noticed though, is the sloppy staging of the photo. Apparently that’s the string from a tag above the barrel, but it makes it look like the gun is electrical. Like wires for a 9v battery.

If someone said “I love my snub nosed semiauto pistol” or “…snub nosed Glock” I wouldn’t get upset by it or try and correct them. I do get a little irritated when someone calls a revolver a “revo” or a shotgun a “Shottie”, but that’s just me.
Pat Riot
They call this pistol a Bullpup. I look at bullpups as rifles/carbines. Is it wrong? I don’t know. Is it cool? Heck Yeah! If someone called this a “Snubby” I would agree. https://www.bondarms.com/bond-arms-handguns/bond-arms-bullpup/

From North Dakota, I believe. Maybe it was a local thing, because I never heard anyone else say it, but he called his revolvers "wheels". Not wheelguns - wheels. Weird. I've heard Brits refer to any handgun as revolver.....mostly much older Brits. There's a novel, from back in the thirties, called Turnabout. This couple were always arguing. "You get to stay here at home and not do anything well I have to go into the City and earn money!" "At least you get to go somewhere and see people. I'm stuck in this house all the time!" There was a little Egyptian god - wedding present - on the bookshelf in the bedroom, and he was tired of listening to them argue about who had the better way, so one night after they went to sleep he switched them. She woke up in his body, had to shave her face and go into the city to work. He woke up in her body and had to put on makeup and do up his hair, and do whatever it was that she did. That night she jumped on him and impregnated him, so the god couldn't switch them back, and they had to stay like that until the baby was born. There was a neighborhood rake, who went from house to house seducing the wives while their husbands were off working. And eventually he got to him. He (the husband in the wife's body) did not take kindly to this, and was arrested chasing the seducer down the street shooting at him. In the courtroom he was explaining about how "that man" was attempting to besmirch his honor. "So I got my husband's revolver that he won the war with, and I defended my honor, your honor." Since the book was in the thirties the war was obviously World War I. And I read that and was thinking, " revolver? You moron. They used 1911s. That's an automatic!" I was in my late teens. I had never heard of a 1917 revolver. It's possible that Mr Smith was being correct, referencing "the revolver that her husband won the war with", but it's more likely that Mr Smith did not know the difference between a revolver and an automatic, and just referred to any type of pistol as a revolver. They were fascinating but I never saw one, and never knew anyone who had one. Now I find out they came in .45 as well. I'm too old to go buying any more guns, but if one came my way and the price was right I just might be temped.

These are the most compact 9mm you can get that isn’t “slim”, IMO. I think I paid between $900 & $1000. Great value!
