Dusty Devil Dale Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 I'm 73, living in a 15ac pecan orchard and having an 80ac timber ranch 40 miles up the mountain --managing both. LOTS of physical work, but I'd way rather die dusty on a tractor than live for 15 more years in a subdivision --- or worse. That's just me. Your mileage may differ. I did the subdivision thing once. Couldn't handle it very well. I was country born.
Eyesa Horg Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 Moved to Vermont from Connecticut 17 years ago and have never regretted it. The taxes however are out of hand! The Dems are slowly eroding our 2A rights, but still a nice rural place to inhabit.

Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 Well that shouldn't stop you from coming up for breakfast. Lessee now, about a hundred miles in early morning traffic....about three hours, four for good measure. If you left at, say 2:30 am, you could make it. I'll even buy your breakfast.
