Alpo
40 50 miles down the road, in Destin, a bear went down to go swimming in the Gulf. https://nypost.com/2023/06/12/possible-explanation-for-black-bear-sighting-at-florida-beach-revealed/ Aside from the people that were walking up to within two or three feet of it - and you can see that in a couple of pictures - I noticed that one of the pictures said that the bear went into the shallow end. Yes, that's right. The bear went into the shallow end of the ocean. I guess he wasn't going to go off the diving board so he didn't need to go into the deep end. Cypress Sun
Besides idiot reporters, that bear looked just a little over cub age. If mother bear would have come out, you'd have seen a lot of people trying to walk on water.
Pat Riot
Trying to read that article was like navigating the streets in Olongapo City in the Philippines in 1980. Holy crap was that annoying. “Hey Joe…Hey Joe….Hey Joe…bing bang walla-walla bing bang…tick, tick, tick…me love you long time…” Jeez H….

Be like if people were either babies or adults. I have a 16 year old granddaughter - be 17 in December. So she's a baby. Because she's not an adult. With people we got terms for in between - baby to child to teenager to adult. I think with bears it's either a cub or it's a grown bear. That would make that a large cub - teenager bear. The one that says in the caption "the shallows?". That would be instead of " open waters" or "deep water," wouldn't it?

Maybe somebody pointed out what a stupid statement that was.

watab kid
there are no real journalists these days - no one checks their facts , confirms their sources - they just write opinions , i love that the bear was in the shallows - who knows what lurks in the depths out there , it is obviously a young bear but that dont mean its not dangerous if it feels cornered - its all fun till someone gets hut .........here hold my beer
