Have you ever wondered WHY Washington was the only one who wore a 'duster'

in those frigid conditions?

Personally, I thought it was because he was the only one not working up a sweat. Everybody else in the boat is pulling an oar. They're working, they're sweating, they're getting overheated. They don't need an overcoat. George, on the other hand, is not only not working, but he's standing there in the bow where the great speed of the boat is giving him the equivalent of standing in a 40 knot gale. He needs that coat.

I got to agree with the panda here - that was pretty bad. And I like puns.

I didn’t call it “Bad Historical Humor” for its quality, accuracy or taste. ;)

Ain’t no high brow funny stuff here.

@Texas Joker Meet @Widder, SASS #59054

Widder, this is Texas Joker. :D

Bottles, a drink for these twa Gents! That’s right, my tab, the one on top. Yes, Alpo’s, thst the one. ;)

Widder, my question is, how cool was it the sun came out in the middle of the night to light the way? :lol:

Actually, it was pretty cool that ole George was able to talk a camera man into working late at

night to take his picture while crossing that river.   George had TWO options to help him become

President:  1. action photo chopping down a cherry tree, or.... 2- crossing a frozen river going into battle

wearing his favorite 'greatcoat'.

:lol:
