When reloading what velocity do you aim for with 125 weight projectiles in your pistol and rifle for SASS matches?

Im ok at around 700fps from both .38 and .357 cowboy loads

825 fps out of my pistols.  I did extensive testing with a friend, and we found that yielded the fastest splits.

Not 125's, but 105 grainers in the 800fps range. 

I'm with Doc Shapiro on this - recoil impulse travels to your brain thru the nerves of your hand or shoulder much faster than noise impulse travels thru the air, into your ears and gets translated to your brain.

 

Besides as a Gunfighter - I keep a loose grip on my pistols and use recoil "roll" to aid in cocking. 

Completely contrary to what all the winning gunfighters do - but what can I say?

i load a bit heavier bullet , but i look for something approaching 650 in what i load , a little more at times but very little ,
