Sedalia Dave
Wonder what armament that fort had. Firing small arms wouldn't have been practical. Hauling cannons, cannon balls and powder to the top would have been a logistical nightmare. Tried to research more about the fort's purpose but I I get are articles about the climb. Found a reference to a Captain Briggs of the East India Company actually taking this fort and 17 others but no details on how this was accomplished. The reference link is no longer valid. Too bad that any of the fort's actual history is is not discussed in detail anywhere that I can find. Every website parrots the same short blurb when discussing the history of the fort. I'll bet the details about the fort and it's construction are interesting.
