Trees. One of nature's wonders.

The hell they don't!

I had a pine tree at the Beaver Mountain ski resort in Northern Utah run out of the forest, tackle me, and jump up and down on my leg until my right shin cracked.

Then it ran back among the other trees and hid.

It happened so fast I didn't even get a good look and it was never found.

Saw a sign on a cafe door in Iowa once, just down the road from the Dew Drop Inn where we spent a night.

Read "Sorry we're open".

Had about two hundred tree frogs on the windows watching us eat.

Surprisingly good pancakes before we headed on east.

I haven’t seen a sign like that since leaving CA.  Well, except for places one would expect it; schools, courthouses and such.

Had a restaurant here that said "If you are carrying a gun please conceal it.  A lot of tourists from some other states get nervous and we really need their business."

They offered us a complimentary side for complying.

It's been a while since I've been to McDonald's, but I'm curious.

What is EVML?

When did they start giving you a choice of seasoning? Burger King is "have it your way". McDonald's is "have it the way we made it".

And lastly, "apple and yogurt flavored soda"???

Was curious so tried a search. EVM is Extra Value Meal. No idea on the tacked on L or for EVB.

Since most of the ingredients there would not even be food, I would be surprised if the soda contains either apple or yogurt.

Except for an occasional order of fires at InNOut, have not eaten at McDonalds or really any fast food in 40 years. Last time I ate the InNOut fries, they were still just cut potatoes, oil, and salt. Nothing else.

I looked it up once, McDonalds fries have a long list of ingredients, and it took some digging to figure out how processed they really are. The center has different ingredients than the crust, they are completely broken down and put back together. This does make the product the same no matter where in the world you order them. They just are no longer a simple food.

At one time, Milk (in the carton) at McDonalds had a long list of ingredients, at some point they did reverse course and go back to a simple product.
