This guy deserves a good slap and a safety violation with several days of unpaid leave…No, I would fire him. Immature moronic acts of defiance have no place in a dangerous environment.

plane.jpg

I was curious so I looked that plane up.

It's a 1979 Cessna 182Q Skylane that was owned by a guy in New Jersey.

Until 2005. When he sold it to a man in Holland.

He owned it until 2012, when he sold it to a man in Finland. Who painted it white and took the boots off.

That's where it's currently at. OH is the country code for Finland.

I figured out a long time ago that overtime in Florida, and probably everywhere else, meant that you're working for straight time with no deductions as the 1/2 is consumed by taxes, S. Security and Medicare.

There was a period of time about 20 years ago, that if I worked 13 hours overtime in a pay period, I took home less than if I worked 12 hours over time.

I'll never forget the first time that I worked an hour overtime (over 40 hrs) when the teenage restrictions no longer applied and made $1 less than working 40.

That was a long time ago but over the years, it always remained the same...straight time (mol) with the rest taken away was the net pay.

I remember years ago when I worked at Hughes Aircraft I did a few hours of OT one week and I had a few dollars less that 40 straight on my check.
I was telling my coworkers that unless I could do 8 or more hours I wasn’t doing OT again.
Sone of the brainiac physicists told me “That is impossible! You don’t know what you’re talking about!”

I explained that I did. Then I proved it.
THAT shut’em up. Morons with degrees. Where could we have been without them?!

Our Professional "Union" had the option to take time and a half or time and a half off with pay, without a limit!

I always opted off the time off and enjoyed hunting trips in the fall, far out of cell phone range.

When I left my job in LA at the end of 2004 I had over 2000 hours of Comp Time on the books. Rather than pay me they created a policy that booked comp time could not be paid out.

No, I had been involved in legal disputes with that agency representing that agency. They were and are corrupt. The stress and hassle just wouldn’t be worth it.

Me, like an idiot, went back there in 2018 - 2022. They’re even worse now.

The really sad thing is all the hard work me and others put in there was tossed aside. That organization has regressed 30 years.
It’s a huge nest of entrenched stupid vipers.
