But the Navy won't bury me at sea unless I'm killed on ship during a war, or some worthy conflict. He inquired with the cruise line about it but they told him no way. He left instructions for the family to book a cruise and take his ashes along . Once at sea they were to have a toast in his memory then sneak out to the fantail with the urn when it wasn't busy, remove the lid, and drop the urn with his ashes overboard. He was a U.S military veteran. At one of our matches we had a 21 gun salute for his family. But it was a little bit different. All 21 shotgun rounds fired had some of his ashes in them. His wife said this is where he wanted some of his ashes spread because CAS, other than spending time with wife and family, was for the last years of life, "the most fun he had with his pants on." Des was like that ...... ...... His wife was farewelled yesterday, the music of departure was "The Yellow Rose Of Texas" by Johnny Lee and Lane Brody. ...... same crematorium.
