WTB Cheap Barrel for 1911

Anybody here got an old, shot-out barrel for a Colt 1911?  I have an old (1918 dated) Colt that I'd like to try to make shootable.  Some time in the past it was "modified" and the barrel lugs ruined.  Short story - The barrel lugs were polished so much that they became rounded off.  I can't begin to imagine why.  The result is the matching locking grooves in the slide became damaged.  I'd like to try a "new" barrel with good lugs in the pistol to see if it could be brought back to shootable condition.

So, if you have an old 1911 barrel taking up space and rusting away in your junk drawer I could, maybe use it.  I'm not interested in spending a lot for a barrel just to find out my pistol is just a pretty paperweight.

AS long as the outside of the barrel is in good shape I don't care if the bore has become a smooth-bore.  I would also like a decent chamber so it can be test fired if I ever get the gun to that point.  Once I know it's shootable I'll worry about finding a real new barrel for it.

Whatcha got?

Thanks,

I’m pretty sure I have one that was taken out several years back when it was replaced with a Bar-sto. Unfortunately I won’t be back home where it is until after the first of the month. If you can wait until then I’ll just send it to you. Just shoot me a PM.

That would be great!  Thanks.  No problem waiting a couple more weeks.  This thing has been sitting in my safe collecting dust for, probably, 10 years.  PM on the way.
