Yeah! A couple of my shooting friends have given me numerous Mexican chocolates including Ibarra.

They’re good, but that baker’s chocolate is my favorite!

Two days before Easter and no one mentions peeps, I read yesterday the sell more than 700 million at Easter time, and then a like amount of metformin the next few weeks

When I was a button I could have eaten a bucketful of those. Back in my other life about 30 years ago, I had a little step daughter about 4 years old. I found some Peeps that I hadn't seen in decades. I bought some for Shonna, sure she would love them. She took a bite or two, didn't like them. I thought she was nuts, tried one too, almost puked. TOOOOO sweet!

Oh, I just remembered another candy bar I really liked in Germany. They were called “Milka” chocolate bars. I especially liked the white chocolate ones.

In general I'll take baking chocolate over the Mexican, but it makes for a nice change up.  Also a nice addition to coffee.  I used to take it to reenactments and shave it into coffee.  WAY out of the period, but still tasty in the evening coffee after dinner.

Something you all need to try. Get yourself some miniature white chocolate Reese’s Cups and miniature Twix bars. Mash one Twix into the Reese’s cup and eat them together. Mmmm-Mmmmmmmm Woo-doggies is that good!  :D

3 musketeers was my go to as a boy. I rarely eat candy bars these days. If I do, it’s usually a classic Hershey’s with almonds. :FlagAm:

I just looked up low carb candy bars.

Now you’re mean for making me do that. Do you know how depressing that is? I need an Almond Joy to take me out of this funk I am in now. image.png.f6d6c468c2e7f5bcf271013efd85c23b.png

I have several favorites as long as they are Dark Chocolate: Milky Way Midnite, M & Ms, Hershey's Miniatures, York P.P., Mounds, et al.

Yeah, I gotta add Dark Chocolate Milky Way to my list. They're right up there with Reese's!

I'm voluntarily on a low carb diet. The Lindt 85% Cocoa dark chocolate bars and the Sam's Choice 85% Cocoa dark chocolate bars are 7 grams of carbs per serving. The serving size for both is three squares, which are about an inch on a side. That's our usual dessert after supper nowadays.

Blatantly trying to promote a local business:

https://askinosie.com/

Askinosie deals directly with the cocoa bean producers so the producers get more profit for their beans.  The beans are made into chocolate bars in Springfield, MO.  This is gourmet stuff, nibble a bit between sips of whiskey, or send a bar as a gift to someone special.

Howdy,

Lotsa fine goodies listed but I think my all time favorite is a swiss chocolate that

One store had right at the cash register.

A local store revised their floor plan and these little candy bars are there.

They might have been called ice cubes ???? One inch squares.

Second is a really fresh Receeses  usually in egg or  some other shape.

And of course Snickers....natures perfect food.

Best

CR

Frozen snickers great in summer heat.
