Alpo
Look at this young man's shirt sleeve. Specifically, the tab. I have seen that style of shirt, with a little tab hanging inside so when you roll your shirt sleeve up you can button the tab over and your shirt sleeve won't unroll. I've seen that, but only in women's clothing. Is this a thing with men's clothing? Just I've never noticed it before but it does exist? Or has the artist of this comic strip just gone off on his own. Rip Snorter
I have an expensive sun block fishing shirt that has the tabs. Handy, keeps a rolled up sleeve secure when casting. Can't say how common they are.
Double Barrel, SASS 34765
I can remember seeing them years ago on safari type shirts.
Colorado Coffinmaker
Common on better out-door shirts. Duluth Trading Co. comes to mind. Also the Military BDU.
Tyrel Cody
I've got some banded collar shirts that we've worn to matches before that are that way; removed the tab and buttons of course.

Apparently you don’t have REI around your area. I buy most of my quick dry rafting/canoeing/fishing shirts there and have for over 35 years. They all have the tab. So do several of my Columbia shirts. Also the REI shirts last forever and at one point they would warranty them forever, (don’t know any more). I have three in the closet that I got for a trip down the Grand Canyon in 2006 and those were replacements (at 10 years old) for a couple I bought in 1996. Calamity Kris
Yes, you will see it mostly on outdoor type shirts for men, but it's not unusual.
