A little commentary by the dad, and telling the boy to choke it, some wheezing by both machine and boy, cough and sputter of it starting and the dad telling him to give it some throttle. Badlands Bob #61228
Park the tractor on the hill, push in the clutch and when it gets rolling good, pop the clutch. Instant start. No battery needed.

You can also end up with a tractor that won't start at the bottom of the hill. Not every system is perfect.
