Buckshot Bear
Three days shooting the 30th Anniversary Last Posse Shoot and it was just awesome, it was hot though....BLOODY HOT and of course today is a cool Autumn breeze blowing! Family did well and my Grandson Buckaroo in his first ever competition had a great time! There were a lot of competitors and we were split up into four different posse's on different ranges, these pics are from our posse. Great hosts were the Southern Regulators, all competitors were delivered flavoured ice blocks over the competition to help combat the heat. Jenorado and my eldest son Red Justice won best dressed lady and man for the whole three days. 6
Cypress Sun
Looks like FUN!!! Gotta say that many of today's American SASS shooters would incessantly whine about the "far" target distance. The "seasoned" SASS vet would just enjoy the olden SASS days. 5
Buckshot Bear
Thanks Cypress Sun it was an awesome three days of competition and cowboy friendship, doesn't get any better. It does feel weird to be dressed in civvies today though.....have definitely got some Mondayitis!. 2

Alpo
If I was perusing the pictures, a question came to mind. I noticed in the second picture - the group shot - that everybody was wearing guns except that short guy with the mustache. And then as I went through the pictures I noticed that even when that short guy was competing, he wasn't wearing guns. And I wondered if maybe there was a law down there that said short people can't wear guns? I believe there's a law something like that in New York state. But then about 2/3 of the way through the pictures there's the short guy with the mustache, and he shaved his mustache, but now he's wearing guns. Mildly confusing. Looking through the pictures again, it appears that it's only when he's got the mustache that he's not allowed to have guns. Once he shaved it's okay? 2

LOL Alpo, he turned 12 around 5 weeks ago (have to be 12 here in NSW to shoot in a competition at a club) this was his first match away from our home club. My son bought him a pair of Ruger .22 Wranglers and I gave him my Winchester 9422 that I bought 39 years ago when Jenorado and I got married and he used a 12g double barrel that a mate of mine loaded some very mild 12g loads for him. He didn't have any holsters and a cowboy called Cro (very well known holster maker down here in Oz) gifted him a pair of holsters on the Saturday, it was such an awesome gesture to a Buckaroo and something Young Maverick will never forget. He had the best weekend! By the way, his middle name is Maverick. 4

Pat Riot, SASS #13748
@Cypress Sun I also love that they set their targets up in a traditional fashion. I wonder, if one were to start setting up stages and matches with more traditional target distances if we could call them “Aussie Rules” stages or matches. This way the sniveling by those that have lost their way could be stifled. @Buckshot Bear it didn’t even dawn on me that your grandson was wearing a fake mustache until Alpo mentioned it. Not sure how I missed that. Good on Cro for gifting him a set of holsters. That’s very nice. 4
