This photo is often mislabeled as "Australian Tank."

In reality it is demonstrating the defensive "Possum Maneuver" used when Armor is about to be caught in the open.  It only appears harmless.

Do not give in to the temptation to scratch its belly.

OK, I've heard of Cow Tipping, but that there is something else!

May be an image of text that says 'The Reality of Fighting in AFVs 'The 75 (mm gun) is firing The 37 mm gun) is firing, but it IS traversed round the wrong way. The Browning is jammed. am saying Driver advance' on the A set and the driver, who can't hear me, is reversing. And as look over the top of the turret and see twelve enemy tanks fifty yards away, someone hands me a cheese sandwich. British Tank Commander, Western Desert 1942'

From a Bridge too Far.

Corporal Hancock:
Sir. Have a cup of tea?

Major General Urquhart:
Hancock. I've got lunatics laughing at me from the woods. My original plan has been scuppered now that the jeeps haven't arrived. My communications are completely broken down. Do you really believe any of that can be helped by a cup of tea?

Corporal Hancock:
Couldn't hurt, sir.

Major General Urquhart:

A neighbor of mine when i was a kid used to show me. Boxes of pictures of WW2.

Said he has no use for the British.

He said at a sertain time they would say tea time. They would stop make tea.

Then the artilery from the Germans would start.

Said when they startrd to make tea. The Americans would leave.

Point of Order;

Not-a-tank.

Self-Propelled Howitzer :D:D:D

My favorite part in A Bridge too far was when the German soldier approaches the bridge with a white flag to "discuss terms of surrender".

He's told off by a rather cheeky fellow that they, the British cannot accept their surrender as they already have too many German prisoners.
