Alpo
Remember in THE DEER HUNTER they had that Russian roulette crap going on? Now let's suppose they got something like that going on here in the states in your town. You got some chump that needs money, and they'll pay him 10 grand to do it with one bullet in the gun, while a whole bunch of jerks are betting on whether or not he will shoot himself. And the cops bust in. Now I'm sure they would arrest the people running this thing. I'm sure they would arrest the jerks. But would they arrest the chump that had the gun? If so, on what charge? Pat Riot
Actually it’s a EPA Infraction: Article 13277 § 5b. Failure to properly dispose of waste.
Alpo
Just watching a TV show. The guy desperately desperately needed money (they never tell you why - damn I hate macguffins) so just as he's about to pull the trigger the cops break in and arrest everybody. And they're going to shoot him because he's got a gun in his hand, but that doesn't happen. Just wondered if they would arrest him.

They give you $10,000 to play with one bullet, $20,000 if you play with two, or $30,000 if you play with three. I read a murder mystery one time where the guy shot himself. The first person on the scene removed one cartridge from the gun, so everybody thought that instead of suicide (that would have been a terrible thing) he had been playing Russian roulette with five shells in the gun. Cyrus Cassidy #45437
Don't forget, laws differ state-by-state. So the answer is, it depends on where it happened.
