For no particular reason, a pic of this awesome antique corkscrew my wife gave me years ago. Some sort of tooth I recokon. Whale maybe. Saver tooth tiger? I seldom use it though. I might hurt myself.
The huge size make me think possibly warthog?

I’m thinking probably warthog after looking at some pics.

Not the flying kind.

That looks like something out of an alternative steampunk nightmare. That thing is cool! :D

It looks like walrus tusk.

I think the curvature seems wrong. Plus there are worn notches which I’ve seen with boar tusks where the top tusk rub against the bottoms.

Whatever it is it is still a very cool item. I don’t even drink wine but I would have that displayed somewhere for all to see.

You’re  spot on with the steampunk era anyway. The silver working seems Victorian to me. Might have graced the bar at the Officer’s Mess in the Zulu war.

VERY cool indeed!  :)

(But whatever it's source, don't bring it to california.  It'd be confiscated, venerated, incinerated, and you'd be charged, fined, jailed, pilloried, keelhauled and possibly tarred and feathered.)  :(

Make sure they throw it in your casket.  That way in 1,000 years they will think you were Viking royalty.

You mean that he's not?
