ShadowCatcher
I had a Kahr K9 cerakoted bronze, took a bead blasting to remove it all. Finish then looked bead blasted (whodathunk it?!). Some of the flats polished back up and some of the rounded surfaces were left bead blasted, it looked pretty good. Might consider just cerakoting over it in a new color, such as midnight blue or the like. SC

sassnetguy50
I've found the best way is to trade it or sell it and buy one that was never customized.
Blackwater 53393
Has anyone tried dip type carburetor cleaner? It’s pretty caustic, but doesn’t damage metal parts. I’ve seen it remove really good powder coating. The kind that is cooked at over 400 degrees.
Pat Riot
Sand blasting with 700 aluminum oxide is what Cerakoters use to removing bluing or other finishes, including Cerakote to prep metal for coating.
Sedalia Dave
A friend removed powder coat with Permatex Gasket remover. Took time and a couple applications but it removed the coating from a pair of Ruger aluminum grip frames without damaging them.
