Ruby Ruthless and her new rifle. The fore arm is laser engraved withe the alias’s of everyone who chipped in to make it happen, pretty cool gesture and great rifle.

I’ve been wanting to build a Buffalo Soldiers themed gun cart for quite awhile and I mentioned it to Non Stop the other day and he stopped by to visit more about it and show me some of the Buffalo Soldier artwork that he has collected. We’re going to make it happen.

Consider going down to Ft Huachuca to visit the Buffalo Museum there.

It's on post  You go to the Main gate to get a pass.   It's not large but there is a lot of information and it's a part of the old post so you can see the houses from 1885 along Colonels row.

I’ll put it on the list for the Bordertown trip in October, thank you.

Wow, you have only made me more determined to make it one day.

Any Aussies make it this year?

Clancy and her husband, but I don’t know if they registered as Aussies or US. I’m not aware of any others, maybe someone else will chime in if there were more Aussies.

I’m not much of a banquets or dancing guy so I skipped the Saturday night festivities, hopefully someone who was there will post some pictures of the events.

The venders are packing up and my shopping is done.  I did not buy much: two bags of pistachios for the wife, a spray can of ballistol17EFA2C0-5A46-4662-BE7F-E0D84605CF10.thumb.jpeg.e7dc93138e3caf9c44a5bf5681c89674.jpeg for the black powder guns and the nifty timer from Uniquetek (pictured) for my tumblers.

I’m back home now and I’m going to reminisce a bit about EOT 2023. First of all I’d like to thank Buck Garrett my bunkhouse pard for putting up with my early hours while he was trying to sleep:P. He had a timeshare that he invited me to use with him and it was wonderful, thank you Buck.

There we’re so many photo opportunities I couldn’t keep up with them all and I’m pretty sure I’ve got quite a few pictures that I’ve yet to post but have no idea who’s in them. I had so many alias’s thrown at me over the last 7 days or so I’d just have to guess at who’s who. What’s great about doing something like this is that you get to put a lot of faces on the Wire alias’s that you’ve seen.

I got to visit with many, many old friends from past EOTs and got to meet a bunch of hopefully new friends that I’ll get to visit with at future EOTs. Despite the one half day of not so ideal weather EOT went off without a hitch. I’m not positive but I believe there were more vendors than last year, Covid related or not I don’t know but it was good to see.

Another thing that was good to see were the young shooters and again I believe there were far more this year than last. Chicken George and his wife and their 5 kids, Evil Do Gooder and his wife and their 2 kids and other families really added to the family aspect of EOT and I heard quite a few positive comments about these folks.

The Rangers that do all of the to design, build, paint, repair, set up, take down, etc.. were short handed but from what I saw they didn’t miss a beat. If it needed done it got done and done with a positive attitude and a smile. I didn’t hear one complaint. A couple of things that I asked for for the Cart Corral were taken care of very quickly and job well done. The rental gun carts were assembled when I got there on Sunday and in excellent shape. The only problem we had was a bolt fell out of one but we had back ups and had the shooter back in business very quickly.

Lead Bender, my direct boss is really a good guy and looks out for the Rangers in his command. Red River Wrangler the new Match Director put on a great match

This was my 10th or 11th EOT, I’ve lost track, and I have every intention of being back there in 2024, come January when Mrs. Lose asks me if I’m doing that Arizona thing again my answers going to be YES I AM!!!!!

Thank you, I wasn’t real sure about the new structure, but it sure worked well.
