What a maroon.....advocating a war for survival against the states and the people who own most of the guns.  What does he think the armed population would do if the nerds from unarmed states tried to starve them into submission? With Ukraine as an example, what kind of fool thinks it would be wise to disarm the populace?  Or to destroy the country's capability to manufacture arms? A shining example of stupidity.

And so many of the shooters get their guns at the store. These people are getting more and more ridiculous.

California is Largest Food Producer in the U.S.

Written by Karyn Moyer | Aug 13, 2021 6:00:00 AM

California is the world’s 5th largest supplier of food, cotton fiber, and other agricultural commodities. In the U.S., California is the largest producer of food despite having less than 4% of the farms in the country.

The state has a unique Mediterranean climate that allows it to grow a variety of over 450+ different crops. Some of the crops such as almonds, artichokes, figs, and raisins are exclusive to California, and the state is the largest exporter of almonds in the world.

In the U.S., California is the number one dairy state and is the 4th largest wine producer in the world. The state produces over 90% of the wine in the U.S. It is also the nation’s leading producer of strawberries, averaging 1.4 billion pounds of strawberries (that’s 83% of the country’s total fresh and frozen strawberry production).

I read an interesting stat this week.  Over half of the corn grown goes to ethanol production.  That says that over half the ag land is currently not being used for food production.   That means many of the Midwest states could up food production by a lot if needed.   Farmers are making bank with $7/ bushel corn.  Gross income is a bit over $1400/ acre.  Most farmers I know are farming around 1000 acres, making gross income in the $1.4 million range.

California produces less than one percent of the crude oil consumed by its population. Approximately the same percentage of natural gas. California buys large portions of its electricity and water from neighboring states.

Many of the agricultural products produced are luxury products like artichokes, figs, avocados, and the grapes used in wine making.  Even the corn used in making ethanol alcohol is mostly produced by other states.

They have practically killed off the pork industry in the state.  They still export dairy products, but how long will it be before the idiots in charge do to the dairy/beef industry what they’ve done to pork?  How far behind can poultry be?

And if they WERE to limit or cut off their export of home grown products to the “Red States” their income from those products would become far more dependent on foreign markets.

Then one has to consider many of the other states that are far and away more dependent on the products from those “Red States”!  While California could export some of their products to the less productive states like Massachusetts and New Jersey, how many figs and artichokes can they eat?

Without fuel, water, and electricity that California buys from those “Red States” how would they plant, harvest, transport, and refine that harvest?

NAH!!  That idiot couldn’t even keep a job as a sports announcer, reading copy from a teleprompter!! He’s been fired from every job he ever worked for TALKING OUT OF HIS ANAL ORIFICE!!

Except for areas in CA where lettuce, celery, grapes & maybe sweet corn are grown CA is Red.  There are many who would like to become counties in NV.  NV could use them to balance out CA expats living in Clarke County.
