Useless Morning Cogitation

Hello darkness, my old friend

I stood up too fast again

As I craw across the floor to find

a way to get off my behind

And the vision that was planted in my brain

Still remains...blury

Don't let that distract you from the fact that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, Bubba "Spare Tire" Dixon.

Meanwhile, his brother Theodore was perfecting his homemade hotdogs.

Four and a quarter was a Cadilac engine that was fairly popular with hotrodders in the sixties!

425 cubic inches!!

Most young folks have been raised with Iphones.  If you say it is a quarter to four they have no idea what you are talking about.  They look at their phones and it says 3:45.

Don’t forget the “Four and a Quarter” Caterpillar engine that ruled the roads in Semi-Tractors for years!!

For time I’d say quarter past four.  For foreign languages I would not tempt misunderstanding and I’d say four fifteen in whatever language was needed.

The dilemma is the afternoon, is it 4:15 or 16:15?

Depends.

Is the sun up?

If it is, then it's probably 1615.

If it's not, then it's 0415.
