Rancho Roy
Is it allowed to ask "What's It Worth"......(1887 Winchester SG)
Griff
cannot be answered accurately without seeing its condition. At best you'll get a range.
Rancho Roy
I have a ton of pictures. Just wanted to be sure it was OK...... I just found that it has a crack in the carrier. You can see it in the pictures https://public.fotki.com/Rbertalotto/things-that-go-bang/1887-winchester/
Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
Well, that cracked carrier may reduce it by a few hundred.... But, Yes, you can ask and get gun value estimates here that are worth every penny of what you pay for them... Most often, here you will get values that reflect shooting-firearm-condition, not collector-condition. Which do you consider this firearm to be? good luck, GJ
Rancho Roy
This is a shooter gun. My friend had a death in the family and he has no need for it. I want to sell it for him and get a fair price. I will have it with me at EOT if anyone wants to see it.
Injun Ryder, SASS #36201L
Per the S/N it is a first year (1887) manufacture. It has the single extractor which is not the best for our sport. The carrier could be repaired or, with some effort, a replacement might be available from some antique parts sources. As it is, it might be more desirable to a collector than a CAS shooter.
