Go West
The CZ coach gun has been a consensus choice from what I've seen. Pietta has a hammered gun, but haven't heard anything about it. It's listed @ $1475 from EMF, $999 at Midway and $837 at Bud's Gunshop. How would it compare with the CZ?
Prairie Dawg, SASS #50329
Far nicer than a CZ -- I have both. My shooting pard Coffinmaker, says that inside, it's the same as the very high quality Pedersoli. My CZ has 30" barrels, it's my BP hunting gun. Personally, I prefer my TTNs, (I have 3 of them) Nothing against the CZ and the Pietta, the TTNs just "feel" right on my shoulder, and that's what I've shot since they were introduced many years ago. --Dawg
Colorado Coffinmaker
The Pietta is SUPER well made. It is also quite stiff out of the box as the tolerances are quite tight. Takes a while to loosen up. I also suggest one secure a replacement set of Main Springs before tackling the OEM main Springs. I don't think anyone could be unhappy with the Pietta. Except maybe Pr . . . . . Nah. He's not unhappy with his. He just likes TTNs (So do I). I however like my Pietta and my Pedersoli a whole lot better than a TTN. Or a CZ.
