44-40s on the left. Two different loadings for the 50 on the right.

Buckshot,

So, you’re wrapped to .500. (.494 + 4x.0015) air mail sheets or linen.

What does the barrel slug to?

How far do you seat the bullet?

I once barrel that had a paper patch chamber. 45-90. Bullet was .450 ( Buffalo Arms) that I patched to .457-8. Barrel was .450/.458.

1/8” seating depth.

Swiss 1.5, 96 gr, it shot great groups. Not great with tamer powders.

I sold the barrel, 45-90, bullet mold. In an eleven pound Hepburn, it took me years to get over the flinch.

The Hepburn now sports 38-50 Rem Hepburn barrel.

By the time they shrink up in the course of drying they finish out at .499. Barrel is .500/.510.  Paper is Seth Cole 55W tracing paper. Haven’t got the  numbers handy, but if I recall I’m about .300 into the case. Charge is 112gr of 1.5F Swiss giving me a speed right at 1320.

That’s really cool. I’m gonna TRY to get over to the Long Range and watch. I have a Browning 1885 HiWall 125th Anniversary edition that I don’t shoot enough and I LOVE long range!! I don’t have time to shoot everything at EOT …but would love to see you shoot that gun and those cartridges! I’ll be set up vending on the left side as you come towards the main tent. Please stop by and say hi and let me know when you’re gonna be shooting!

Hugs!

I’ll stop by. If things are running smoothly I plan to shoot a couple of the events, just depends on how it goes hearding cats at the same time.

Bring the Highwall out. Just need a 300 yard sight setting for 2 of the single shot events, and 550 yards for the third.

It’s been since before Covid that I’ve shot my hiwall. If I can get it sighted in, I’ll bring it. I’ve made a 300 yard shot ONCE!

Big hugs!!
