Barbwire Bill, SASS #661
Has anyone seen a Taylor’s Ranch Hand in 22LR? Do they have the traditional 4 click action or the new ones with a hammer safety? Thanks

H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619
Well, based on the pic on Taylor's website, it looks more like a "full size" Colt than a Colt .22. Also, you can see the firing pin in the gap between the frame and the back of the cylinder. That suggests to me a hammer mounted firing pin. But no idea what that means for how many clicks it has. Abilene, SASS # 27489
Taylor's website says the Ranch Hand is "built on the Cattleman new model forged frame." That would seem to make it a 3-click gun, although I haven't seen one of those with a rimfire firing pin, so not sure. The firing pin visible behind the cylinder doesn't mean anything, as it is visible on both 3-click and 4-click. But the trigger in the rear position and a two position base pin that are visible would make it a 4-click gun. I don't think you can necessarily trust the image, though. Barbwire Bill, SASS #661
I head from Taylor’s. It’s a Uberti gun so it’s the new action with the retractable firing pin safety Too bad. Maybe Pietta will come out with one someday. Thanks for all the answers
