I shot a 20ga Stoeger SxS when not shooting Win 97s.

Win AA and Remington are most popular, also most preferred by handloaders.  Smooth hulls.

Federals are also common (relative term these days).  Ribbed hulls.

I prefer high brass hulls as the extra weight tends to shuck better.

Hard to find reduced shot weight and velocity in the 20 ga.  My handload (5/8 ounce at around 950 fps) is well below what I see in stores.

Reb, ammo is coming back on the shelves, so if you have any choices and would like the lightest load (CAS) that you can find, then a few general rules:

1. Less shot is better than more shot (size doesn't really matter as long as SASS legal)

2. Less velocity is better than more velocity.  If you have a choice between less shot or less velocity, go with less shot.

3. Brass base (actually brass plated) is better than plain steel, for better shucking.

If you are going to be shooting a lot, a Lee Load-All 2 will pay for itself quickly and is easy to use.
