MEC powder bushing for 777

Recommended Posts

Just got a MEC 9000. Usually load with red dot. I do shoot a few plainsman or BP matches every year. I prefer to use Triple 7 for shotshell. I use 7/8 oz shot. I like a slightly less powder than square load. Does anybody load similar, and if so, what powder bushing do you use.

Thanks all.
looking at the old thread that Sedalia Dave provided, looks like 42 or 42A is what I want.
I looked on eBay, a guy there sells 3D printed MEC bushings, 3 for $10. Reviews say they work fine, so I ordered some. I’ll report back on my how they work.

thanks for the info!

mec bushings are easy to drill out. go slow and use a dipper to check your progress.

Seems like I used a 9/16 drill bit on one of the bushings that I never used.   About 67 grains of BP is what it threw
