Aussie question

When speaking of money, c is the abbreviation for cents, right? As in one 100th of a dollar?

Guy on another board made the comment that he got a small motorcycle engine off eBay for 99c. Said he couldn't believe nobody else bid. His Avatar was a Aussie flag - blue, with the Union Jack in the corner and the Southern Cross? Along with a big 7-point star?

Are there seven states in Australia? Just wondering why there was seven points on the star.

It it so difficult to find this answer.  The Capital Territory does not count.

You need do some more world travel. Oz is indexed as one of the top countries of the world for freedoms and ranked right up there at the top with NZ for the best standard of living in the world.

You do know that if you don't like it here, that you're free to exercise your right to emigrate to another more suitable country to abide in?

Ya' reckon..........To many tiers of Government, over regulated, one of the highest taxed countries in the world ,basic fundamental human rights are being taken away by stealth, if it wasn't for a good social security system we would be further down the drain..they call Australia the lucky country, well the lucky disappeared many years ago. Nearly $$ 3 trillion in overseas  debt...so much I could say but you stick with your opinion & I'II have mine.I've been abroad a few times so don't advise me on what I should do...don't worry I'd pack up & leave OZ  if I was single & younger..in the meantime I will bitch about a once good country that is slowly going down the gurgler...like so many others with socialist left dictators at the helm.

I'm certainly glad that I have a far happier existence living and loving life in the best country in the world than you yourself does. Hopefully whinging and whining gives you some sort of consolatory comfort. Seems like your stuck here unfortunately, I hope you can make the best out of the horrible situation you've found yourself in living in Australia and eventually find some avenue of escape and are able to get the hell out of here and onto greener pastures......until that time, I wish you well in your day to day struggles living purgatory here.
