Alpo Posted November 15, 2022 Share Posted November 15, 2022 In the Louis L'Amour books, he refers to donuts as bear sign. And one book someone asked why this was, and he was told to look at them. They look like it. This has always puzzled me. First, is he talking about tracks or poop? I've heard both referred to as sign. Secondly, donuts as I am used to seeing them are circles. Round sweet cakes with a hole in the middle. I have seen pictures of both bear footprints and bear poop. Neither one looks like a donut to me. Many people agreed that it looked like it to them. Someone else posted this. And then there was this. But none of them really look like a donut.
