How I got off a distribution list

I use social media to communicate with friends around the world, Skype,  Viber and others. It doesn’t cost us anything. Occasionally a scammer tries to get in and it isn’t hard to tell them where to go and what anatomical impossibility to engage in when they get there.

suddenly some groups added me, they were all interested in investing. It looked like a pump and dump scam, one promoter and a hundred shills saying how excited they were and how much money they made yesterday. My version of the app did not let me block them. I sent many messages messages asking to be deleted. I was ignored. Finally I started spamming them, pictures of dogs, cats, food, anything. My messages were more volume than the scam messages. I got deleted. Problem solved.
