Cockney Rebel
I bought some used boots online and they need the toe box widening a little. Does anyone have a boot stretcher I can buy or borrow?
Navy Davey
Take a zip lock bag fill it with water and put them in the boot and the boot in the freezer. As the water freezes it expands may have to do it more than once .
Frontier Lone Rider
That just might work. I have a pair that are going into the freezer.
Cockney Rebel
These are roughout/suede leather so I am a little hesitant about putting a bag of water inside them. Would a bag of beans or similar work?
Cusz M. Dutch SASS Life 55326
Fill the toe with un popped corn or wheat. Pour in some water and wait.
Pb Mark
Having the same boot issue myself. I put two pair of winter socks on and squeezed my feet into them. Walked around for a few hours, did some pushing on the side of the house with the toes. It seemed to help quite a bit. Planning to call the local boot store and see if they have a stretcher. My feet are different sizes. Might actually need to abandon pull-on boots for the shoots unfortunately. Custom made boots vs better holsters and more guns... custom boots have lost that argument already.
Grass Range
If there is a saddle shop near you buy a can of "Shoe stretch". Put the boots on and spray til the boot is soaked and then walk around until dry. No damage or discoloring to the boot
Cockney Rebel
No saddle shop but there is an old-fashioned shoe repair shop which might do the stretching for me or have a can of "Shoe Stretch".
Salty Pawl
Anybody on here ever hear of Amazon? https://www.amazon.com/s?k=boot+stretchers+for+cowboy+boots&crid=30JS4ETPXJJIL&sprefix=boot+strecthers%2Caps%2C340&ref=nb_sb_ss_pltr-ranker-24hours_2_15
Pee Wee #15785
Have a 14 year old kid size 14 feet, you feed him for the week and he can wear them, if so there goes you new holsters and half mortgage/rent payment. Where do teens put all that food.
Zach Taylor,SASS#14359
Even if you have a freezer large enough, eventually, they will return tight. I have triple e feet and found if you wet the inside of the boot, under a sink, put on your socks under a plastic bag and wear the boots until dry. The leather will shape to your foot and the boot will be more comfortable. Of course the best solution, lf you can afford it is get a new pair that fits.
