Dusty Morningwood
SOLD These seem to be relatively scarce, from my searches. It is a representation of a .50 percussion Purdey rifle built by AB MARCHENO (Italy) for Richland Arms Co of Blissfield, MI. It is in overall very good condition with only minor scratches to wood and metal. The bore in the 27" barrel is in excellent condition. Twist is 1:48. Best with conical bullets, like original Purdey rifles, but good accuracy with patched round ball. The Walnut stock has minimal scratches. Checkering is sharp. Buttplate and lock are case colored. Trigger guard is blued. Has a Purdey style round patchbox that is case colored. LOP is 14.25". The set trigger needs adjustment, but not broken. $500 + Shipping. cowrustler
Dusty, is this rifle's twist for round ball or long bullets? Thanks.

Got a half turn in about 25", so I think 1:48 twist. But I think this twist will handle both round balls and conical bullets. I suspect the original Purdeys used a conical bullet.
